Who we are

Motsy is a UK marketplace for second-hand chocolate machinery and moulds, at motsy.co.uk. We’re the data controller for everything described here. Email hello@motsy.co.uk with any question about it.

If you join the list

We keep your email address, and a note of which form you used, so we can tell later which parts of the site are worth their place. We use it to send you the weekly Top 10 and to tell you when Motsy opens. Nothing else, and never to anyone else.

The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in telling people about machinery they’ve asked to hear about. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you at any time by replying or emailing us — we’ll do it and confirm.

If you list with us

To run a seller account we keep your name, email, business name and town, and whatever you put in your listings including photographs. Your town appears on your listings, because a buyer needs to know where a machine is. Your email address does not — buyers reach you through us.

We keep the record of a listing after it sells. It’s how we know a machine found another workshop rather than a skip, which is the point of the site. Ask us and we’ll delete your account and your listings.

Cookies

One, and only if you sign in: it remembers that you’re signed in, and it disappears when you sign out. There’s no analytics, no advertising network and nothing tracking you between sites, which is why there’s no cookie banner in your way.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@motsy.co.uk and we’ll answer within a month. If we get it wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
